The label says:

Our nutbrown ale is velvety smooth with a rich caramel aroma.  We blend seven different malts for a creamy finish worth craving.  Madtown Nutbrown is all natural and unfiltered for superior flavor and quality.  It is brewed wtih passion and is best enjoyed that way.

As someone who enjoys dark beers, Nutbrown is on the light end of my preferences.  It’s still a solid beer with a rich flavor lets you know you’re drinking something.  The nutty flavor and sweetness make it an easy beer to drink–which means it’s not hard to drink it a bit fast.  You’ll want to watch out for that, because this beer seems to hold a bit more kick than the national brands.

There’s a bit of an aftertaste, but it’s sweet rather than bitter (like some beers can be), so it’s actually rather pleasant.

Nutbrown is a good “dinner beer”.  It would be a great compliment to grilled steak or a hearty soup.
